The community of Mesa Grande is in Santa Ysabel off Highway 79.  When you just have to have that hot-out-of-the-oven Dudley Bread, you pull out of your driveway to the left, turn left on Deming Ranch Road and turn right on Mesa Grande Road. It's about a seven minute drive.

Don's market is next door to Dudley's with a great meat counter for delicious stuffed pork chops, carne asada or your Thanksgiving turkey. There is a good restaurant, and the Pie Company with very tempting, delicious pies and desserts and the best caramel apples . . . Oh, you might want to pick up their great apple cookbook, too!

You could spend hours browsing the antique shops, or the art gallery, and while you're there, fill up with gas and check your mail.

Julian and Wynola are just a few minutes southeast with all the fun of Apple Days, many restaurants and shops and the Pine Hills Lodge with a wonderful dinner theater. Driving west on 78, takes you to Ramona and beyond.

Traveling north on 79 you can be at Lake Henshaw Resort or Warner Springs Resort in about 15 minutes. Within a 45 minute drive, drop down to Borrego for a great round of golf, or visit the world famous Observatory on Palomar Mountain with lunch at Mother's Kitchen. A little longer drive will get you over to the ocean that you can see from several vantage points in the area!

Mesa Grande is one of those very well-kept secrets. Looking around the neighborhood at photos below there are some who have discovered the escape from the city life with their gated 'gentleman's ranches'.

The climate and topography are very similar to Napa Valley so we see a few people planting vineyards. It truly is a very beautiful area to live full time or weekend away from it all.

Come on out to Mesa Grande. Plant seeds of relaxation and joy and let them take root in the wide open spaces and fresh air at your Mesa Grande Ranchette.   Simply contact us for your tour!
